No see. All the Terminator would have to do is put a note somewhere he would find it in the future (like in Back to the Future 2 where doc sent Marty the note but it wasn't delivered until the future) before he engages the Hulk. If he loses, it's there. If he wins he destroys the note. Voila! Fail safe.

BTW, everything I know about time travel is based off of the Back to the Future movies. Like if your mom wants to have sex with you, you will start to disappear. Watch out for that.
