for me pretty much same as above:

kick inside - beta 52
kick outside - akg d112
snare top - beta 57
snare bottom - 57
toms - 421s
overheads - 451's
stereo room - 414's (or pretty much any ldc mics in a pair)

edit: rhode nt5's would work well for hi hat and ride, but they will most likely not be very necessary.

If I were you, I would use extra 3-6 hours just experiment what sounds best and use that. But depending what is in the sennheiser drumpack, here is my suggestions:

- Sennheiser e602, e902, e901 or Shure beta 52 inside the kick by the beater (but I personally hate the snap sound on beta 52)
- Shure beta 52 or AKG D112 at the hole of the kick for the Tad Donley BOOOOM
- Sennheiser e604 or e904 or md421's or shure sm57's for toms depending on the tuning
- Snare top: I would test out different mics before setting the kit up and use the one that sounds best, but SM57 is always a sure choise
- Snare bottom: depends on the tuning of the snare, I've used a big variety of mics and with SM57 a cheap kickmic was actually one of the mics I liked the most with it, but also Röde NT5, e604 and another SM57 is a nice choise.
- Overheads: AKG C414 (AB) or C451 (ORTF), but it requires a high room and that you lift them up very high
- China: AKG C1000
- Hihat: try what sounds best (also try both below and above the hihat), I would start with a pencil condenser
- Ride: same here, but I suggest that you try and start micing it below near the bell
- Room: AKG C414

I didn't know what was in the Sennheiser drum pack and I didn't feel like looking, so I would change mine to 901 kick in and 902 kick out

don't put the d112 in, it just sounds like shit for snap.

I personally don't like it for snare because it sounds more scooped than sm57, also it is more prone to bleed in my opinion
