could it be easier to set measures in %-scale..?? no thinking / planning needed.. :err: :)
The graphics gets distorted and doesn't look good. Fortunately, I'm just using it for a splash screen. Javascript functions would help me this case to detect the maximum screen size/resolution.

Actually, the reason I started it was much for the same reason.

A font will change in scale disproportionately to the size of the resolution setting. In 800x600, the fonts are larger in size than they are when I have my monitor set to 1600x1200, and only noticed my frame size not being adequate enough for certain member's picture links (with noresize enabled), when in 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 (the default res of my LCD), it looked fine. There is some change that happens when switching between resolution sizes that I saw in both Internet Explorer 6.x and Firebird 0.7.

Arch @ That's exactly why I created this thread. For my own info... glad it's of help to you too! ;)

Interesting, I was the only one who gave that resolution before Aragorth gave it.
Yes, but one of you didn't vote... :err:

1152x864 is a great resolution for 17" monitors... I always preferred it over 1024 not enough room, or 1200 too small for the monitor... but now that I'm uber-geek, 1600x1200 is perfect! :heh:

hmm, so if I want to be an uber-geek I shouldn't run a 1280x1024 resolution on a 19" monitor...

Me is geek, althought not uber:D

There are many geeks here, Profånity. Geeks love to talk about computers and technology. ;)

17" Trinitron Monitor...
What the hell are you trying to do with those settings? I can't recognize anything (as in letters) if I put that res. on my 19", let alone what I would miss if put on a 17"...
So enlighten us and tell us your secret:)
