What solid-state amps are people fans of?

yeah.. sunn beta lead and jc120.
had an ace solid state fender combo once that had great clean

I've got a Laney TF700. Technically it's a hybrid, but the clean is all solid state and it nails the sound I like - dark, thick and crystal clear. Even with the volume cranked through a Dimebucker is doesn't break up at all.

True that, Thomas Youngblood from Kamelot uses it as his main amp both on their albums and live; not the greatest recorded tone I've ever heard, but I can't imagine any better coming from something without t00bz! (suck it Jeff  )

VH-140C, Valvestate 8100, JC120, and the XXL are my favorites.

Oh and the Vetta and HD147 kick a lot of ass too.

Yep, another JC120 fan. I like solid state cleans, I don't care what anyone says. You dont have to worry about the harmonic structure so much with a clean tone. If you're looking for a clean amp that can go grittier just get a fender twin, the JC120 isn't any use for that.

Traded my last old Valvestate combo (had 4 Valvestates at one point) a few months ago for some Priest/Megadeth/Testament tickets... Aye.

I had a Tech 21 Trademark 300 head that was pretty badass. No idea why I sold it, honestly. Built like a tank and was also rackmountable.

Peavey bandit 112 FTW! boss hm-2 -> Bandit -> 4x12 marshall/mesa/orange/etc cab = Instant sunlight sound. That thing can get AS LOUD as my 6505. it's rediculous.

I don't own one, but everytime I play an Orange Crush in a store I have a good time and end up GAS-ing for one.
