What solid-state amps are people fans of?

Man, I love the old Marshall valvestates. The Roland JC120 and most Peavey solid states are nice too. Oh yeah, I had a Fender Princeton Chorus a long time ago that had a beautiful clean tone.

yeah the black tooth amp nails the dime tone.
Good solid state is randall old shit ;)
I mean dime had that tight tone, yeah it was a bit fizzy but I always liked it ;)
My randall T2 sounds more tube-ish even though, its poweramp is solid state while it is driven by tubes ;)

I listened to your Randall T2 re-amp clip on Randall Forum. It's just awesome!!! In July, the T2 will be shipped to my home. ;)

definitely the marshall valvestate 8100.
i wouldn't use it as the only amp (except if you're going for that death/early meshuggah tone), but it seems to blend with other (tube) amps really really well.

I have serious GAS for a valvestate 8100
those things sound incredible.

the tone at the beginning of Death - A Moment of Clarity = :OMG:

I've got a 8100. Brutal amps! Throw a tung sol in there and you got a beast. Bone crushing gain with a tube screamer. And can get a nice crunchy classic rock tone too!
