What would it cost to have the Maidens play a birthday party. I've been thinking about this for awhile. Besides the fee for the band I would need a venue as well. I couldn't afford to buy canes or the blue cafe for the night well maybe I could I don't know what they would would want. but I might be able to work something out some where.

I looked into maybe hiring the Uk tribute band Hi-On Maiden for a party, but it was gonna cost £600 and I would have to hire a PA to so it was gonna cost a fortune! The Maidens would cost more, cos they're better!!

I could ste... uum Borrow a Maki PA from work But the Madens all have Amps with cabs that would be loud enough for a small venue they don't need to be PA well execpt Aja but That's almost an insult to her she could belt out a tune an damn near not need any amplifaction. I'd pay a grand or two for like a five or six song set.

Ahhh, that reminds me of the time Linda scared the shit out of me by agreeing to hold the after show/New Years party at my house. :hotjump: Of course she was messing with me (which was good ), and for some reason my first thought was "Chips! I need lots of chips!" Oh, and "What the hell am I going to do with my visiting in-laws?"

Anyway, whatever they charge would be worth the money imo. It would just cost me more 'cause they have to travel further. And they say money can't buy happiness.....phhht

Huh???... Didn't Van Halen play tons of private parties before their big break . A gig is a gig is a gig.. The band shows up, plays tunes you love and then the band gets paid. Everyone is happy. Besides, the word private is just that.....private. If it is not advertised who knows where the band is playing anyhow. All types of bands play private parties all of the time.

I could get together a lot of my metal head friends and throw a party just to party party....hahahha! Also, I live on a 1/2 Acre lot so having a place to play isnt the problem. We would just have to have the gig be from say 8pm until 10pm.

As far as the private concert thing goes, if I did win the lottery and do such a thing I would actually be funding one private and one public show. The first one would be for all the good people here on the IM's bb's (and yes, I mean everyone!) plus a few other freinds. All airfare/accomodations would be included, of course. The second show would be open to the locals, with proper radio/paper advertising. If I'm gonna throw a party, it might as well be a big one!

I have no friggin clue.

I don't feel right puting numbers on the board. What I will tell you is that one the girls are under paid and two I only need to scrape up a few more hundred then I pay in rent and that would take care of the bill.

I'll also add this, Their Managment has some guide lines to follow. Like they need a stage with PA and a light rig And if the venue doesn't have this it can be rented for a little extra. very profesional they don't want to do this half assed And I agree.

Believe me I make a meager living but I could do this. And their Management had some very good ideas on how to reduce the costs over all, with out taking money out of the girls pockets ie win win

I will say this If you are serious email their Managment they will help.

I'm going to get this thing inked by Feb or March of 06 for june or july of 06
It all depends on their schedual.

Now what would be really cool is to get up there and play with the Maidens.
I don't play guitar good enough to keep up but I might be able to get up to snuff on the bass now that would be a party to remember.
