What would you listen to before going into battle?

3 Inches Of Blood -- Advance And Vanquish (if you haven't gotten your hate on lately, this album will help you strap it on)...

Anthrax -- We've Come For You All (why the fuck not....?)

Rock on!

Goin' back to the classics for this one: Saxon - Power and the Glory!

"I'm a soldier of fortune I'm trained and I'm ready to kill
Put me to battle I'll follow the sound of the gun
Give me an order, command me I'll fire at will

I've got no emotions I'm living with thunder and steel
I don't hear your lies all I hear are your battle cries
I'm a soldier of fortune I'm trained and I'm ready to die

To the power and the glory
Raise your glasses high
To the power and the glory
Be with me tonight"

Metallica - Fuel

Fuck yea

Add to that:

heavy/fast pumpup:
Blind Guardian - Valhalla(live)
Blind Guardian - Battlefield
Sonata Arctica - Wildfire
Blue Oyster Cult - Godzilla
Metallica - Blackened
Sonata Arctica - The Cage

reflective music:
Labyrinth - Die for Freedom
Metallica - To Live Is To Die

I would just play the entire "Kings Of Metal" and "The Triumph Of Steel" albums play back to back. That way, when I come out triumphant, I can look over the fallen in victory as I listen to "Master Of The Wind." If for some reason I hadn't killed everybody by the time those albums were over, I'd throw on Angel Dust's "Of Human Bondage." That should take care of the rest. "May your sword stay wet, like a young girl in her prime."

Stay metal. Never rust.
Met-Al

Blind Guardian - Valhalla (studio since the production and Kai pisses me off every time I hear it)
Savatage - Sirens
Iron Maiden - The Trooper (or maybe the Children of Bodom cover...)
Hammerfall - Heeding the Call

My first thought was Iced Earth, "Violate".
Upon further though, I'm thinking D&W, "Heaven Denies" or "My Last Sunrise".
Of course, "The Trooper" would work well too. "You take my life but I'll take yours too"
Another good one would be Winterkill, "Freedom."

How about Iced Earth "Greenface"?

heh, I can't let go of Zakk Wylde's Bleed for Me, but I have no intention of going into battle...tonight.

I'm sorry, but "Dew Scented" sounds like a brand of female douche. :ill: :ill: :ill:

I agree it's a terrible band name, but the name was inspired by an Edgar Allan Poe story. I do agree though that since most people wouldn't know that, they wouldn't be inclined to take a look at a band with a name like that. Try this link and see what you think:

Still think of a brand of female douche?
