what's the big deal about TubeScreamin' ?

i used to have 2 different 5150's....both where too buzzy or fizzy sounding. I just could get a good sound that I liked. But that was before I heard of this Tubescreamer deal.
I have a friend of mine, matt, in a band called Element Eighty from here and he uses an EMG81 Gibson into a Valvenator to Bogner Uber and a Framus Cobra into an A/B switch going though 2 Bogner 4x12s.
