Yes. Yeah, I'd say that whole period between Caress and MP('75-'81) was Rush's best.

2112 was the first Rush album I heard... just kind of struck a chord that's never stopped resonating...

I would choose the period between MP and HYF (81-87)

My favorite album is the same as Dan Swano's... "Hold Your Fire".. followed by "Power Windows".

Rush has been my favorite band for a long time. I discovered them in 1977 when I bought "Fly By Night", I loved that album. Then "A Farewell To Kings" was released. I was blown away by "Xanadu and "Cynus X-1".

My favorite period is the Farewell/Moving Pictures one. But still I like "Power Windows" the best. To me it represents their best mix of long progressive songs and good lyrics/songwriting.

IMHO they should have stopped long a go. They are just a shadow of their former self. I was very disapointed with their latest album. It seems they can not hold their fire any longer.

I already miss them...
