What's your favorite Michael Romeo guitar solo ?

I thought that I would be the only one voting Accolade II's solo... It's so full of feeling, the ending, when Russell Allen re-enters, it always sends shivers down my spine....

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

What about bass solos? Obviously, my vote goes to The Divine Wings Of Tragedy (8:31-8:58). Very simple, but so... "atmospheric"... I can't get tired of playing it.

If we talk about bass solos, I honestly would have to say Divine Wings 12:37 to 13:00. It's one of those things that many mortals can't comprehend without seeing in person.

Of Sins and Shadows is insane so that would be up there for me. I really like the guitar vs keys solo battle (I call it a battle cos it reminds me of the good old solo showdowns I used to have :p). The tapping solo in Sea of Lies is cool as well, mainly because I can actually play it ;).

In the live version of TDWoT there is a solo by Michael Romeo.
It's at 15 minutes after the piano interlude.
It's amazing!

They're actually three solos... And in fact TDWoT bass' line is simply amazing... so was/is Miller.
And yup, the last one is made with armonics.
I always just considered it one solo because the space between the 3 solos is so freakin short.

i really got into the solos on the first one too ya know lilke savage curtain and taunting the notorius those are pretty friggen sweet dudenessness:Spin:
