I can't believe a mouse that lost that much blood is able to drag it self with the trap from behind the fridge to under the stove in the time to get plyers...
I'd rather a quick kill than a slow death on fly paper type traps like my work uses. You'll find them all twisted up with limbs torn apart and dislocated from desperately trying to escape. The little fuckers spread disease, so they gotta die. Better fast than slow. Shame it got in the trap the wrong way.
We get hundreds of mice at work... so when we see one, (usually on the scissor lift infront of us) we just take our gluey gloves and smash 'em... Usually they end up inside of a door coated in glue. Its disturbing, yet funny all the same!
I hardly call myself a barbarian over a dead rodent . They HAVE to die because the ones around here carry disease. I said I prefer they had a quick death over the sticky traps, geez.
