When I first heard "Dressed to Kill", I thought Rod Tyler was doing the vocals...

Our good friend and local vocal god sounds a lot like Rod Tyler when singing this song...

Well, I have to say that Russ always sounds like Russ. But...the style he was using is probably more like Rod's on much of that album. I think what probably happened is that he just had a crash course in Symphony X and had to sing on that album right away. Rod probably had already worked out (with the band) all the vocal melodies. So, Russ probably didn't have much room to incorporate his own style. That last "game" on Damnation Game would make Mariah Carey cry though.

i thought all of it was but before actually recording, rod was out of the band, so russ was there for recording... i may be wrong there though. Yeah, i never liked the vox on dressed to kill or damnation game personally. there are some other songs on the album i like a lot (edge of forever, etc.), but... yeah.
