Well my musicial background is maybe not that susual, I dont know.
In my youth (lol) I was (and still am) a great Elvis Presley fan. In general oldies, rock n roll and blues were my like. I admire guys like Jerry Lee Lewis, love bands like The Kinks. Infact when I was 8 I won in a local karaoke contest, the fifth place as Elvis Preley (Hound Dog).
Than I started to look for music, where the guys weren't dead yet

I had my Aerosmith period and who really opened the highway (to hell) to metal, were AC/DC. I remember that day. I just watched the Stephen King movie Maximum Overdrive and heard AC/DC and wanted to get them. I only inteded to buy one CD, but I got home with four
Than I found out about Maiden, Priest, but also I love guys like Johnny Winter or George Thorogood. I would say I have a great range of music taste.
But in the last two years or so, I got addicted to metal. I love the guitars, the power it gives you and sometimes the feeling of desperation. Arch Enemy was the first "growler" music I loved
So, yeah I guess I'm new to death metal.
