We need something to focus discussion on here.
The GMD has done a lot of great threads on best albums of each year starting around 1981, threads that rank band's discographies, as well as tops of each (sub)genre.
There have been tournaments here, but not anything this comprehensive. I think the system of tallying by votes is better than having a series of head to head face-offs anyway.
Of course, there's nobody here, but maybe I'll start some of these threads and see if folks will come back to participate.

Not really enough people here to tally anything but new threads are good. Even in the general sections there are poll threads that never got enough participants or just haven't been tallied up yet. Notably Top Non-Metal Albums of 1980 and Blind Guardian's Discography Ranked (we were supposed to rank Vader after that - a bit of a laugh of course since they're so damn consistent).
