I went to the comment on the person in the opeth thread that said opeth is repetitive and call them a stupid asshole.
I couldn't believe they said akerfield is a mediocre vocalist
I firmly believe he is top 3 best vocalists right now in any genre - heavy but entirely coherent DM vocals, very well-executed clean vocals -

What the hell is everyone's problem with v.v.v.v.v.? I think he does a great job and things got better since he is a mod, imo. You can allways leave if you don't like the situation, but he is a mod and he has to do something, what the hell is so wrong in locking some shit threads? People are too lazy to use the search button, but they whine when their threads get locked... Put yourselves(spelling?) in his situation for a minute.

I did not delete that thread. I only lock threads, I do not delete them outright. It was probably Deron considering "Living Colour" is somehow a bannable offense.
In any case, take things up with me if you have a problem and I will try to remedy the situation. You can hear testimonies from a few people who have already been in the same situation who have negotiated about it with me. I'm a fairly easy to get along with person.

No, I do not do this at all. Point me to one thread I have locked recently that deserved to stay open. The Opeth discussion was only going to spiral downards; threads like that cannot be salvaged. Also, Hangar's idea fails because idiots will continue "bumping" pointless threads, which creates a big swamp of horrible threads to go through. People who want to be off topic, there are currently two generally unmoderated social threads here, which is pretty much MORE than enough; go there to talk about other things not related to metal (or at least music in general, I'm pretty lenient with non-metal discussion especially since I am interested in a lot of non-metal music also).
I actually addressed why I closed it in that specific thread. Please learn how to read(?). There are already like 80 threads in existence with the same topic he could have just as easily bumped. Leaving threads like that open just causes clutter.
