Where's my thread?

Well obviously people are going to blame me considering I have the most specific power on this particular forum. However, it's been made clear that I did not delete the thread. The board is plenty humorous, just check the photo/social thread (which is largely unmoderated, fyi) and/or the hate thread.

Accepted threads to start include:

-Threads about specific bands that warrant topical discussions
-Threads about albums that warrant topical discussions
-News about metal bands and shit or whatever (I usually don't really bother moderating these)
-Hypothetical threads (such as Carcassian's pretty brilliant "What If...?" thread)
-Favorite bands from so-and-so genre (sure it's generic and tired but I think all metal boards kind of need one of these here and there)
-Other things that warrant discussion and controversy without garnering flame wars, etc.

If you are unsure of whether what you are about to post is suitable for this forum, please PM me.

Matter of fact, PM me anyway. I like getting PMs and I like talking to people.

One more note about starting threads; no games (with the obvious exception of the [in]famous Metal Game), no NP threads (one is alreayd and perpetually here as you can easily see), no "recommend me" or "i really like this band" threads; there are sticky threads for these. I for one solemnly pledge to attempt to recommend/discuss whatever is inquired upon in either thread.

Threads like "top 10 favorite bands," "most overrated bands," "trendiest bands," "recommend me this type of band" etc., those are the types of threads that should be locked immediately. I can't really think of anything else that can't be discussed. I think we should give threads about individual bands/genres and the like more leeway instead of constantly merging them into the main thread because there's really not much else to discuss for the rest of the board, and you can have a more elaborate discussion on a focused topic that way. I think we've become too centralized with the three main threads that the rest of the forum is nearly unimportant.

Arbitrarily locking threads and deleting posts because you're having the male equivalent of PMS will ruin it also.

But be realistic now, v5 is doing fine as a mod. Its not like hes locking threads that dont deserve to be locked. It seems like he is locking many things because there are many things to be locked.
