i always thought that countryman (passive) doesnt work well for active pups...


its so confusing i wish there was a definitive thread on this. the oz guide to reamping its all over the place as far as DI selection.

I thought it was pretty clear that the J48 is probably the best "all-around" DI.

so the j48 does the job for passive pups? all my guitars are passive but i will be dealing with some active. i was considering getting one of active and one for passive but if the j48 handles both and does a great job then j48 it is.

i just ordered the cuniberti reamp. all my guitars are passive dimarzio pups but i will eventually run into actives to reamp.


i am leaning towards the j48 but i just wanna make sure that i don't need a seperate DI for passive. i will get both coutnryman and j48 if i need to get seperate dis for active and passive.
