Everyone here has such a lame idea of what "fat" means. No wonder girls are fucking killing themselves to weigh 20 pounds!

I think the thing is that at first glance she looks fatter than she is because of the position of her arm and the shadow on it...

"Trucker hats are still hip?"

no but i still see people wearing them.

even worse then trucker hats are cowboy hats. i have an extreme irrational hatred for cowboy hats.

I'm late on this thread but I voted for the middle one (she reminds me of Brooke Burke). There is absolutely nothing wrong w/ the thick one tho'. I just like my girls to be toned and not as sloppy.

the girl on the right IS fat. no two ways about it. its a fucking photo shoot. which means it has been air brushed and made up to all hell. you see that girl in real life, she will have creases everywhere from when she sits down and her fat flops over itself, probably has the cellulite arse etc. if she is 5'8 her weight would be 80-90 kgs which = overweight = fat.

whatever floats your boat with respect to chicks, but if you want to tell me she has a healthy physique with an ideal weight, then you are just kidding yourself.

*edit* also checked the photo again, because someone mentioned that 'the angle didn't do her justice' or something - are you kidding? notice the following:
1. she is facially side on to the camera, but her belly is facing the camera so as to hide the fact that it sticks out
2. she is wearing black (as all of them are, but still valid) because that is the most thinning colour / shade
3. her legs cross over each other and are twisted, so you can't see both in total width

.... and they are just things i noticed as an amateur. make no mistake about it, its all geared to make her look as 'not fat' as possible, such that FHM could prove the point they wanted to make.

Like I said, it's no wonder girls are killing themselves to stay in the "right weight" when people consider size 14 fat  Ideal weight is such a fucking gay term, get over it. What is it ideal for? Isn't it subjective?

Besides being a photoshoot (lol not rly) it's also a scientific study conducted via survey. If the examples aren't true to life, everyone's results will be wrong too. I doubt they would do that. She's a model, of course, but that doesn't necessitate Photoshopping to make her look thinner. A size 14 is a size 14 no matter how much you "touch up" the photo.

EDIT: so you're saying the results are not valid because FHM fucked with the examples to rig the "competition"? Sounds like a dumb conspiracy theory to me.

btw you can see the cross contour of the legs and you can see where the right leg exits the path of the left leg and can make an accurate (and flattering) assumption of her leg width from that. They could have given them vertical stripes to make them all appear thinner if that's what they were really going for. You can also see the cross contour of the bottom of her stomach, and it's not that unhealthy looking tbh. Society has (unnecessarily) high standards on this kind of thing and it's really kind of sad when 160 pounds is considered unattractively overweight or unhealthy.

size 14 is fat. she is an unhealthy weight. 95% of girls that size, would be about as healthy as bacon and eggs for breakfast every morning. there are some exceptions, whereby fit people just can't shed weight, but its not all that common.

if you dont think that FHM did everything they possibly could to make the bigger girl more appealing than the thinner girl, you are far far far too naieve. thats pretty much the hottest size 14 ive ever seen. whereas, i reckon i work with 10 better looking size 8's.

Even if that were the definitive case, I am sure that could apply to the size 14 more than it would the size 8.

There is a VAST difference between fat and slightly overweight.

One would assume that at 5'7" a girl would be about 180 or so to be a size 14 and the girl I used to like (Maizey, if you'll recall) was about 200 pounds and about that height and the same rings true with my best friend. It isn't fuckin' fat.

Is it overweight? Probably, but medical standards are not perfect and do not apply to everyone.
