No surprise, as I also play bass. Haven't done the upright in more than a decade, though I'd love to play one again.

BTW, Steph, could you post some info on your G&L bass, please? That looks like a fine piece. You can see my Mex flavored Fender P-Bass here. Just scroll down...'tis in there.

Mine's a 1994 model that I bought new with the case for $450. Has a 2-band active EQ, pan and master volume. 9v powered. Vintage style P and J pickups. Loaded with Rotosound Swing Bass strings nickel plated 045-100. And yes, I occasionally do use picks, usually triangle Dunlop Tortex 1mm or 1.24mm. Mostly fingers, though.
