Which snare do you prefer?

The first one but what's difference btw?
Pre-delay? If so, you can try to find a value that match with the tempo (60/bpm).

No, no difference in verb parameters, just a different sample mixed in.
Feel free to let me know how the reverb sounds too, though...(not enough/too much? too many highs/lows? room too big/small? tail too long/short?)

Thanks guys.

i like the first one the best if you used one for the whole song. the second one might sound cool during the first mellow part though. then switch to the first one for the heavy stuff. the second one adds something to the mellow stuff. i think it is too much when it gets heavy though. kinda blends in more, maybe too much which is why i liked the first one for the heavy stuff, seems better suited for the distorted guitars. sounding really good though

2nd snare all the way to the bank my man. 1st stuck out like a thumb up a bum when i first heard it.

Guys, I have to be honest, I'm totally embaressed :ill: . My first feeling was "on the fly" but decided to listen it again and again and I have to admit I do not hear a noticeable difference between the two files. I'm really starting to wonder if I must keep doing "sound tech" If I can't hear a difference when everybody seems to hear an unquestionable difference using words like
"definately", "way more natural", "all the way".... :OMG:
I'm not a golden ear, that's not breaking news, I already knew it but... wow.
Or is there something wrong with my player?
I'll try on different monitoring systems cause it's really bothering me. :ill:

Ok I get it, more low/mid , lower pitch on the 2nd.... Is it better? I don't know.... Now I can see (hear) how much it is important to listen at high spl (my bad)... :Spin: I still prefer the first one.

Hey Matt, I just have discovered (thanks to James) that you were not living in Greece !!! HAHAHA, how weird is it that someone lives in a city called Athens and not being the "real" one :-)

P.S. : That was really very interesting ! :p
