Whiskey, Bourbon, Scotch

I've tried absinthe before. I'm not sure if there are different kinds that taste differently, but the absinthe I tried tasted like licorice - not as strong as Jäger, but still noticeably licorice-y. Not my thing.

Due to the ingredients, there's nearly always something of a licorice quality to it. But, if you're in search of something that'll get you blitzed faster than even tequila...

I've seen people drink it that way in the movies (of course). Have to give it a shot sometime.

Has anyone here ever tried Jeppson's Malort? That's some gross shit.

The 12 year is solid, so I bet that's great.

And for the record, nothing beats a night of good absinthe. Trouble is, it's hard to find good absinthe outside of bars designated for it.

I just realized that bourbon on the rocks is my thing. I had Knob Creek and Bulleit tonight on the rocks, and for me it's way more enjoyable than neat. I appreciate good whiskey cocktails as well, but if i'm going plain gimme them rocks!
