Who else hates those silent tracks after 20 minutes of silence?

I like the extended coda on Cry Of Mankind, although I agree it is inappropriate as an opening song...

Anathema's A Fine Day To Exit inspired me to write this thread. It's annoying.

However, MDB's Cry Of Mankind, I also found that it was inappropriate, but now I really like the way they made it the opening track. Don't know why, it's something different, and if you listen to it, by the time the song finishes youre almost in a trance like state from the repetetive riff.

imagine recording that part though, playing that riff for like 8 minutes, and then you screw up or sneeze or something, then ya gotta start all over again.

I like this choice and the foghorn, choiry excursion, it could easily have been a wank but not in the hands of the classic lineup...excuse me.

"She Is The Dark" (although in itself a solid track) should have been shafted in favour of "Edenbeast" as the opener of "The Light...". My apologies to all those that have heard me repeat this many times.

About the silence....I have nothing to really say about that.
