I do remember my thoughts when the album cover arrived though:
"a big gay flower??!!??"

No. You are correct. It's not the "original original pressing" so to speak. It's the "original american" pressing. The original european pressing is from 1995 (Candlelight) and it's a totally blue disc with no logo or track listing (see the pic of my copy above).Mumblefood said:I've got the american one as well. It's not the original i thought? I thought it was rereleased by Century Media when they signed in 1998?
:Wreath: said:Wait a minute... the original means the first ever pressing? If so, how come it has Opeth's current logo? Didin't it debut on Still Life? WTF?
I'm pretty darn sure I bought Morningrise the week it was released in Sweden. And the actual CD has the new logo (not the booklet though). See picture below. So if noone has switched mine out at a later point in time, it should be the original (european) pressing from 1996.ViCyniC said:I have the original European Morningrise (no name and no logo). And I also got the blue Orchid CD as well.
MasterOLightning said:I have the Orchid tin. That happened to be more available so I got that. Stupid bonus track though.
I do have the American originals of Morningrise and MAYH (no bonus on either.) I found those in like 2003.
MasterOLightning said:Have you heard them? They totally disrupt the flow of the album.
Umm... No. It would be silly of me to say I've been a fan of Opeth before they released their first album, since I didn't even live close to Stockholm at the time.EternalMetal said:everyone always trys to say they were a fan for longer than they were.
