I think one of the cheapest way is to go by car which runs on diesel.
That's the way I go.

I can also remember a thread from Sopel about a Polish airplane thingy whatever. ( something like €80,- )

Aye, we're going by car fromout the south of Holland, but we are going to combine the trip with a short Holiday in Prague, so we can not take some with us........

Come on guys, it's just a while driving about 1300 km, that's it.
You can also split the trip in two days and sleep in the car or whatever
