Who is drumming on the US tour?

I assume that Lopez is still out of commission... which is a real shame. While he is excellent with double bass, what really makes his drumming exceptional (for me at least) is the sophistication and nuance added by his use of snare and symbol accents. I'm worried that this complexity will be lost if a more typical death metal drummer fills in. How was the replacement for the recent tour in this regard?

they already told us Axenrot will be drumming for all the remaining tours of 2005.

pay attention and refrain from asking redundant questions.

My apologies... some of us don't have enough free time to peruse the website every 15 minutes and make over 1500 posts on the forum.

I admit that I may be blind, but I don't see it anywhere on the Opeth website. Well, no matter... I shall now shut up so as not to detract from far more important threads, such as the discussion of whether Opeth should wear corpse paint. :)

I don't see it. They say, "A temporary replacement has been found in Bloodbath/Witchery/Nifelheim drummer Martin Axenrot who will take over Lopez duties until he's fully recovered."

It doesn't say anything about all of 2005. It just says until he's recovered. And it's been on there for a month or more so it's perfectly reasonable to wonder if he might be recovered in time for some of the North American shows. He missed the first few shows of the last headline tour they did in North America, but was back by the time they hit Seattle.

Mind you, I don't expect to see him, 'cause every picture I've seen of him he looked like a walking corpse. First thing I thought when I saw the promo shots for GR was, "Lopez looks like he's about to collapse on the spot." But I also haven't seen anything from any source except posters here - not my idea of an authority - to say that there's no chance he'll be touring this year.

Lopez better get his ass over here in time for the Houston show on the 21st or I'll be very upset, for he is my favorite Opeth member!
Martin, please get better, we love you.
