Ah, it's nothing really serious but it's enough to seek medial attention. He's got really bad reflux -- we've had to see 3 doctors, we've had prescribed zantac for the guy, and he was born early so that didn't help. The result is, lots of spitting up (can't keep milk down), no sleep, and lots of crying. Babies should sleep 15 hours a day and he's on about 6. They say that he'll grow out of it in 6 months, and so the prospect of that is pretty harsh if I'm back on the road.GrumpyDwarf said:Ali: WHAT? What do you mean, not doing well? Anything I can offer to help Heath out? I lost another job (long story, we should catch up one of these days) and have loads o' time.
Just sick I hope?JayKeeley said:Kid #2 is really not doing well.

EDIT: Glad it's not too serious.

glad to see you back.
Heh, yeah, it's more of a problem with one just maintaining their sanity. I won't lie, but hearing a baby cry day and night is amazingly stressfull, especially when you can't just hand him off to someone else to takeover. Hence the option of having to move near family. (Heather's family is not an option). MOST of all though, poor Chloe. She just doesn't get it, and of course she's being totally neglected, and it is just heartbreaking because she is such a good 2 year old (nearly 3 in January!).GrumpyDwarf said:Jeez, sorry to hear that. Sounds like "adult" acid reflux in a way. On a positive note, it doesn't sound as if the doctors don't have a clue (i.e. it's not bubonic plague) so I'm sure with the proper care & attention, the lil' bugger will turn out just fine. Look at it this way, perhaps once he becomes a teenager, he'll retain the memory of this and be able to vomit on people on cue! He'll be famous, or at least on SNL.
Something will turn up, the job market is much better than it was 7 months ago. You gotta try 'american job market', they list such cool jobs. Amazon post all their vacancies there, and they list stuff for product marketing managers for the music/videogame/DVD department. That would be such a cool role - one of the requirements is, "you must love music, videogames, and movies". Dream job in Manhattan or what?Yes, it was a pretty new job, 7 months to the day I was let go. Some such nonsense as a merger and sales being down (company-wide, not just with me), thus, I got LIFO'd (last in, first out). Ah well, I have 3 interviews already lined for next Mon & Tues. Something will turn up, hopefully before my December rent is due. :zombie:
