Lykathea Aflame are actually pretty happy, or 'lighty' in their music

H.I.M are happy because every concert the lead singer smokes while he sings and gets laid by 100 groupies a week.

Hammerfall arent happy at the moment, somebody stole there whole touring revenue money and equipment (hehe), so hopefully next album they gonna go brutal or something (i kid i kid).

I'd say Gamma Ray or Hammerfall. i was gonna forward Stratovarius but they've got a lot of slower, moodier songs.

Hmmm maybe Rhapsody.
My mom likes Stratovarius and Gamma Ray, but I don't really listen to power metal (except Sinergy who now aren't that cheesy and "happy" anymore, which is a good thing imo ). Power metal musicians are often really talented, but their stuff is just TOO happy for me. I enjoy melodeath tho.
