anyway, I think of it this way. Chris is a trick guitarist. He can do things Jeff can't do, but Jeff is faster. Kinda like Joe Satriani vs. Steve Vai.

I'm sure it would, but my point was that a video of Chris playing a Mozart piece fails to own me. See thread title "why Chris Broderick owns you". So I was just disagreeing with that. I'm sure if he had posted a video of Chris playing one of his own solos that would've been more interesting. Don't get me wrong, I think Chris has amazing technique, it's just that most videos I've seen of him playing have been far from mindblowing. It takes a little more than great technique to impress me.
