the plot sounds great, too--i hope it redeems the series after the mediocre Wizard and Glass.

I thought Wizard and Glass was a great book, not really a downpoint for the series. My brother has been harping on and on about the rest of this series coming out soon, so I knew about this one in advance. King also revised the earlier books in the series and I think The Gunslinger may have been completely rewritten. I'm going to be reading them all through again before I read 5 in any case as too many details are foggy since I haven't read those books in years. Still two more to be released... hopefully they will all be good.

But that is a damned cool cover, very unlike anything I've seen before from stephen king.

i think wizard and glass was slightly less good than, say, "The Eyes of the Dragon", which is good but not King's best. but Drawing of the Three and the Wasteland and, to a lesser extent the original Gunslinger, were among the best books he's ever written.

That's a horrible cover art for it, it looks way too cheesy. But should be a great book hopefully.

i agree, but it's not the art itself i think looks cheesy so much as the text. bleh.

Nothing could be worse than those illustrations in Drawing Of The Three...bleagh. And if I stumble across anyone posting Dark Tower V spoilers here or anywhere else, he/she will have guaranteed him/herself a mercifully brief death.
