Why do women earn so much less?

Flexibility due to children. Men don't usually have nor want to change their schedules for their children, so they get more money to have a set schedule while women want the ability to take time off for their kids and they sacrifice money to do so.

Perhaps because males generally work in higher paying jobs, where as females are more reluctant to take up a more physical, trades jobs? Most females I know work in call centres, or are cashiers or service clerks or waitresses etc.

women doing exact same work in identical conditions as men still earn 70 cents to every dollar that a man makes.

Well I never actually read the article. Maybe I should?

Maybe they aren't as good as males then? I wouldn't expect a female to be as good in a manual labourer job as a male for example. I guess it depends, an in any case stats aren't that reliable since it is impossible to get a fully accurate picture. Though I don't doubt that sexism plays a tiny part.

LOL manual labor is a shit job. We're talking about real jobs in the business world where gender should have absolute no determination on how much somebody gets paid, yet it (seemingly) does.

Well some jobs in my area like working at the mines pay very very good, and I was also refering to jobs in trades which pay very good. But as I said I never read the article.

If a woman actually gets hired in a manual labor job, she's most likely fairly well built and can do everything that is expected of that position. It really is almost entirely sexism.

I suppose you've got a point, but still, physical work comes more naturally to males than females. I've known some who have those kind of jobs and maybe aren't as capable as males, but I do think society is sexist in many ways.

This is true. I don't need wimmen for a damn thing.

Wow, I can't really imagine a world without women. I honestly can't really relate to other guys as I am not "one of the guys" so to speak, and in fact I'd rather hangout with female friends than male friends.
