Almost 99 % of the marketing videos or soundclips tend to have sterile, unbalanced sound and horrible settings on the gear. The players usually sound generic and uninventive, like they aren't even trying to put any energy in the performace. I think it's weird, since there's so many talented people around and most of them would do this type of work practically for free.

This is our ultra high gain amp, intended for use in the most punishing audio terrorism in the world. Here's our director of marketing, Jim, playing blues licks on a Strat to show you what it can do. BRUTAL.

when i watch this kind of videos or listening to sound clips,
i seriously always ask myself if these people are retarded or
just absolutely deaf.

it must be...i think nowadays about 80% of the world population j
ust have the wrong job...:bah:

this remember me the demos of the amplitube free or whatever posted here not long ago

Great example:

I bet this pedal actually sounds pretty good, but they've somehow made it sound like Zoom 505 line-out recording.

Yeah, when I watch Ola's videos I just think to myself, "which amp is he going to make sound awesome this time?"

+1

I love watching Ola's videos. I wish more people here on this forum would do gear review videos like him, but broaden the horizon to pedals, guitars, cabs, etc. If I had a camera I would try it, but mine sucks. It's a smart way to get endorsements and get free gear just sent to you.
