Why the F**CK Cubase records metronome?

Well now it is obviously not Cubase that does it. What is that then? Hardware? IS Satellite that bad that doesn't split useful data and metronome clicks?
Cables aren't issue, cuz they are Mogami, Neutric connectors.

There's no way for the satellite to know the difference between useful data and metronome clicks.

It is not Presonus, it is Mackie Onyx Satellite.

How so? It's data that's coming in (recording) versus data that's coming out (playback), how could an interface fuck that up?
