In the wake of the sudden passing of singer Terje Valfar Bakken, WINDIR has scheduled a farewell concert on September 3rd at Rockefeller Arena in Oslo, Norway. ENSLAVED, FINNTROLL and MINDGRINDER will also be on the bill. The live date coincides with what would have been Valfars 26th birthday. Sture will be doing most of the Windir vocals. September 3rd also sees the release of Windir's swansong by Tabu Records. As previously reported, this two-CD set will be released in the honor of Valfar. The first CD will include new material, unreleased material, tribute songs from other bands and live tracks. The second CD will be a compilation of the great music made by Valfar. It will include tracks from the first demo Sognariket to the last album Likferd. All income from this CD will go directly to Valfars family.
