I wonder if there will be some kind of vigil show (with Anthrax maybe) for the 1 year anniversary. I'm kind of keeping that time open on my calender in case I can make it. For some reason(probably because I hit the bottle hard in those times) I can't remember the exact date. Wast is Dec 5 or 12?

You see, it's may be a strange thing, but I rather prefer Lennon dead than turned into one of those knighted types like McCartney, Elton John &Co. I mean I hate to see good purposeful people becoming fat assholes. Ozzy/Sharon is a good example.

I don't think Lennon would have ever been knighted. He wasn't into the self righteuos crap Paul McCartney lives for. He moved away from England to New York and tried to seperate himself from the beatles. He also made great music solo. Sir Paul is a douche bag. He always loved being a superstar. He waited till John and George died so he could put out his version of the "Let it Be" album . I read an interview where he claimed he hated the production on that album , so i guess he fixed it his way (and cashed in of course) My greatest musical pleasure will be if Ringo out lives Paul.

I don't think Paul is a terrible musician it's just when it comes to integrity , I don't think he has much. I can't name 1 solo tune he did that really sticks with you. Lennon continued to write great music till the day he was killed. Jusy my opinion though.

Yeah but I mean, give peace a chance, imagine , mind games, merry xmas(war is over), instant karma the list goes on. I think some of Lennon's best music was written later in life. He was deffinatley writting some socially consious stuff at the end of the Beatles and into his solo efforts. This is just my opinion and people argue about the Beatles for days.
Anyway back to the topic. It sucks that some bastard took one of metals greatest guitar players away and hopefully people will always get a good feeling whenever they hear his music and celebrate that , not get all down about his death. Fate deals a nasty card sometimes.
