With all the excitement of a new ProgPower roster, the fact that there is a new Within Temptation album coming has kinda slid through the cracks. Here's the first song.

the song was pretty much meh, kinda like their last few albums to me.

the male vocalist really brings home the butt rock vibe. I thoroughly expect this to be on the next WWE game soundtrack.

Yes it's getting way too WWE these days for this band ...... I sort of like it, and sort of don't ....... not sure I could handle a whole disc of this vibe, but I'm hoping ........

I expect it will be much like the last couple..... Sharon's voice will save very mediocre material from being completely cast aside. Sad to see a band that was as great as WT was trying their best to sound like everyone else nowadays.

"...Dutch symphonic metallers Within Temptation will release their seventh album, Resist, on December 14th via Spinefarm Records/Universal Music. Pre-order the album here....the first single, "The Reckoning", featuring Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix....

...Resist marks a departure from the Within Temptation's past. The record is armed with 10 anthemic tracks, driven by grand melodies and dark hooks. It brings a futuristic take on metal to the table - both instrumentally and thematically.

"Resist is a true milestone for us. If it wasn't for Resist, Within Temptation wouldn't be here anymore," the band stated.
