Swedish traditional metal act WOLF will see the North American release of the band’s fourth album, 'The Black Flame,' on Oct. 3 through Prosthetic Records. The band’s previous record, 'Evil Star,' along with its back catalog, was also licensed for North American release through Prosthetic in early 2004. Details on The Black Flame’s tracklisting, artwork, and release details for the North American release can be found at the Prosthetic Records website - (Click here to open link)

The band also offers an update on preparation for the debut music video from 'The Black Flame,' for the album’s opening song “I Will Kill Again,” via the official WOLF website:

“Hi, all. We're at the house (haunted of course) in the town off Umeå in Sweden recording the video for the song ‘I Will Kill Again’ from the upcoming album. Director Owe R Kill Lingwall (Nocturnal Rites) is doing his very best to make us look evil (that means he's doing nothing, cause we're already evil). Tormentor [bassist Mikael Goding] is happy cause Westham kicked Charlton’s arse. Axeman [guitarist Johannes Losbäck] is happy cause he likes metal. Hammershark [drummer Tobias Kellgren] is happy cause he's getting paid tomorrow and Viper [vocalist/guitarist Niklas Stållvind] is not happy cause he's being tortured by the Killer. And yes...Celtic Frost rules.”

Shit I can't wait until October :Smokin: :Smokin: :Smokin:

Skid Row and Wolf in the same month. Woot.

(BTW - the new Skid Row cover art = cheap).

I heard it and at first listen it's pretty different from previous albums (read: "not that good"). But I'll have to give it a few more spins to confirm, I've been wrong on first listens lot of times...Gonna listen to it today and let you guys know the verdict tonight...

So I gave the new one a good spin or 2. It's diferent from the previous album for sure. I think the new one is more "grown up" . But still it's very classic Metal. Especially to the end of the CD songs are very very good. I would say a bit of a mix of Icarus Witch and Helstar. I find it better every time I play it ....

Damn I haven't been able to listen to it yet but I'm sure it will fill my expectations like Astral Doors and Sabaton did.

I've heard the first 2 songs so far and they sound great to me. It is different, doesn't sound just like Evil Star but I like it so far.

I am soooo droooling now. I know your tastes (benedictum, benedictum, benedictum) and if it's a top-ten contender on your list it's likely to be on mine.

oh, and have you heard the new JOP ??? :p

If I remember correctly, I had the exact same type of problem when I was trying to get my box to work. It was a stretch for me to "sorta" remember what the issue was...

Anywho YOU got it working and I got a few new things to tide me over. :headbang:

Oh yeah, the Beautiful Sin caught me off guard. Tsorl clued me into who was in the band, then I remembered knowing this... It seems odd to rip off a song and change the words from your former band?!?! If he wanted to do it, why didn't they keep the words the same?!?!

Kinda strange if you ask me.

Got my greedy little paws on the new Wolf today. It's definitely not a repeat of Evil Star, although it still contains the same flavor. The songwriting has matured just a little and the album sounds very consistent as I run thru it for the first time. It'll take many more listens to fully digest and get an idea just how good this album is. I think I'll be having alot of fun along the way. :D

I had spin it like 4-5 times since I caught it (courtesy of Carnut :worship: ) and if is not "Evil Star" reminds me a lot of "Black Wings" and it is definitively a Wolf album :headbang:

I can't wait to have the actual slab in my collection :hotjump:
