"wonderful"

In Alaska, many cars are raped by mooseseses (meese?) every "winter," the aftermath is ridiculous. Imagine a totalled car full of gallons of moospunk and you get the picture. :ill:

ayeka: maybe the two are related... somehow!
Maybe Nargaroth's devil=worshipping antics onstage have made the meese (plural of moose? ) possessed by the spirits of demons?!?! That would be awesome! :D

...Nargaroth? :err: You mean Gorgoroth :p

A HOMEWARD SON WILL CLAIM THIS HERITAGE
WALK THE SOIL OF THIS EARTH
THE PEN WILL BE HIS MIGHTY SWORD
AND THE TRUTH! HIS DEFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENCE

No, no. I've never supported the spreading of commercial releases...boots only mate.
True dat. But now that the master footage has been confiscated, suppose it gets leaked, does it become ok to download then, especially knowing that there is still a remote possibility that one day it might see the light of day in an official format?

Ahh, the science of download ethics. :tickled:

Well still, no.

Here's how most traders look at things:
- demos, unreleased, live bootlegs (basically, anything that has not been released for commercial gain on behalf of the artist and/or label) are fine to TRADE, not SELL
- official releases, whether live or studio, are strictly off-limits

Now, in the case of the above...I suppose if it is NOT released than sure, it might be ok. Though if and when it ever is released, it would become a "not for trade" item. A good example is the Maiden "Rock in Rio" concert/DVD. It was nearly 18 months from the actual concert date until the official release; during that time, people freely traded audience recordings of the show, but now that it's available for purchase officially, most decent traders have ceased and desisted.

Sure, there are always going to be scumbags and freeloaders, but I don't deal with them anyway. I've always believe in supporting the artists.

A recent promo from Listenable Records I received had DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PROMO! STEAL IT! across the back.

Thought that was cool. :)

Wow, that's very respectable. :kickass:

I remember that! Btw, when Maiden toured on the Give me Ed tour, Bruce Dickinson had a little to say in promoting the distribution of their new music. At the time, their newest song, "Wildest Dreams", was only being played live and so he urged that all the bootleggers in the audience record it and share it as much as possible, just so others who couldn't make it to the show get a chance to hear some of the new stuff.

Now granted, it's not the best Maiden song, but it's the thought that counts. I think on one occasion, he was even quoted as saying, "we're not Metallica". \m/

Actually...now that you mention it...

Metallica has pretty much always encouraged the bootlegging of their live music. The website www.metlive.com even has a HUGE official setlist archive taken from yup, you guessed it. Bootlegs that the band themselves have been known to collect!

Their stance has always been agains the illegal spread of again, commercially available recordings. Though Bruce was funny, and always is with his rants, he was kinda wrong with that statement.... :)
