world series

No one cares about this Series.
It is a major fail for MLB.
They will lose TONS of advertising revenue.

Sorry to be so blunt, but Baseball is a business first and foremost.

The only good thing about this is that the Series will generate revenue for the Rays.

I don't give a rat's ass about either team this year... but can you explain your comments?

lol. sorry, i had mistaken it for entertainment first and foremost.
not just cos my teams in it, but im very glad to not have any bandwagon team this year. its awesome. and philly is ready.
'80 08'

^^ look it kinda spells your name boob. (we won in '80...hopefully will win in '08)

I'm a huge fan of baseball. We watch the games on and off even though it's definitely not the most interesting WS ever! I can't cheer for the Phillies though, sorry :p

Enjoy your win!

I'm an on again off again fan. I have a hard time getting into baseball if my team isn't in the running... But the A's will be back.
I'm also a Dodger fan so I had some interest this year...

I always pay attention to the World series, but I've only watched parts of three of the games so far...

And I think it good for baseball not have another Yankee/Redsox series... It gets old... Phili's are rockin'

I love baseball and have enjoyed the playoffs and WS so far, though I wish the Rays would put up more of a fight. Regardless, to say nobody cares about this series is pretty dumb.

I'm half-heartedly rooting for the Phillies because one of my co-workers is from there and is a big fan. He's a nice guy so it'd be cool to make him happy. :)
Also, out of some sort of NL loyalty for the Braves (how 'bout them Braves? Still findin' new ways to lose?*) and the fact that the DEVIL Rays wimped out and changed their name.

Cowards.

* this was what the just-defrosted-from-cryogenic-freeze redneck guy asked in Star Trek: The Next Generation, back in 1990. The Braves went on to establish the professional-sports record for consecutive post-season appearances, so clearly, they need to be insulted on Star Trek again.

I grew up watching and playing baseball, so at one time I was a big fan. As I've gotten older, I've simply lost interest for professional ball. Most players only seem to care for their contracts and the almighty $$$. Their attitudes just turn me off I guess. I still follow college ball, but past that I don't.

anyone else a baseball fan? or better yet a fan of my phillies that are about to win? hah

ENJOY YOUR WS TITLE! :headbang:

I'd love to say I know how awesome it feels for your team to win the WS but I'm an Astros fan so, ..... I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT FEELS! It kind of stings to see Lidge close out that game :( I'm really happy that he went on to have a PERFECT season ..... I just wish he could have pulled it together while he was still with the 'Stros.

Let the baseball off season depression set in! Come on April ;)

I'm not a fan of either team, but I have a close friend in PA and another in FL, both hoping for the win. Been interesting all week seeing how this played out. I say congrats to both teams for making it to the last big game.

/neutral friend mode off

I was out of the country so I couldn't see any of the WS games... But, as a Marlins fan, it was a god awful WS.... Can't root for our divisional rival... and can't root for tampa bay, as I like the fact that we are the only team in florida with a World Series title :p
