OK...so we all know the Dance of Death cover was complete and utter bollocks right?

Good, now that's out of the way...

I saw a vinyl of DOD today...and in a larger format...ITS EVEN WORSE LOOKING!!!! Holy good fucking god crap lobster bananas...

There's no smoothness to any of the 3D characters...which looks REALLY obvious at a large scale...and so many of the small flaws look much worse...and you can notice more. (eg the baby's feet half way buried in the dog)

So this, having made me retch once...I see a copy of Brave New World on vinyl also...now, I quite liked the art on this cover...except the use of a built in standard BRYCE texture on some of the buildings...I quite liked it.

Anyway...I DONT ANYMORE!!! I mean, holy crap. Once you get past the very foreground buildings into the ones more at the back...its all just dirty digital painting smudges in little rectangles to try and trick the eye into seeing buildings...theyve gone all impressionist on us! And, though I will have to look at my CD again to see if i can notice it...it looks fucking HORRID on the vinyl...I shudder even remembering it!

So yes...what a fucked up few things to see today.

The dumbest thing about the DOD cover, which i forgot to mention was...its a mix of painting (the eddy) and 3D (the fucktards around him) but the hooded figures in the background are photos...wtf is up with that? Why mix 3 types of media into one big steaming pile of crap?

And the worst thing is...it looks like its just 1 photo, that theyve flipped to look backwards on the one next to it and so on...thats such a dodgy thing to do!
