I currently don't have a baritone guitar or a 7-string guitar and for now I'd rather not spend the money just to play some down-tuned death metal songs (Edge of Sanity, Bloodbath, Nile kinda stuff right now) - I do, however, have a spare guitar lying around. So, question, would it work to buy a 7-string set and put the low 6 on a regular guitar? (just leave out the high E and making the guitar BEADGB without tuning down regular strings to a tuning they won't stay in)
