Would you hire acousticians for your room conditioning?

Last week I've been offered services from a couple of people who are about to make room treatment and isolation for an AE setting up his own control and his live room, right across from mine. The studio is set up on an old, large house, and unlike the larger rehearsal rooms there, all these 3 rooms are basically square or slightly rectangular bedrooms (no angled surfaces). I would like to turn mine into a sort of a cab/voice capturing and mixing room, with my gear in it also.
The guy in charge on the studio (who did the conditioning on the rehearsal rooms) says I should just do everything myself.

So my question: Would it be worth to pay these guys for their room design (maybe not a lot anyways, since they're freshman), or am I better off doing it myself? I had some AE studies back in college, but nothing in acoustics, like these guys have.

Thanks much for your input!

I dont have a great deal of insight on the subject of professional acousticians, however I think its obvious you would have to weigh the cost of having them do it against the amount of paid work your actually doing. If you have a decent client base and you were planning on doing more room treatment on your own currently or in the near future then it wouldnt hurt to get a quote from them.
