WTB: Jackson JE-1000

LOL

No idea why you guys want these. I have three or four JE units I've pulled out of my Jacksons. Will check the parts box. I think I have a JE-1200 for sure, dunno if I have the 1000, but it's possible, I think my 89 Soloist came "stock" with that.

You guys know the 1000 is the gain boost right? Not a very good one at that. The new EMG units are better if you like that sort of thing. You sure you don't mean the 1200 or 1500? The mid sweep is more "usable" IMO, but still nothing I'd want to stick in my guitars. Never got the appeal of having a Jackson "all stock", they are the original hot rod guitars, you are supposed to make them kickass with aftermarket parts, they aren't a '59 strat. :D

And some people don't like EMGs. To each their own, right?

I purchased a je1000 clone off ebay over a year ago, it sounds good never compared it to the real thing which I could never find. But it doesn't use the original parts (ceramic caps and whatever resistor rating they could find 10/20%)

So i decided to build my own to original specs. Ben Johnson made some nice boards.

Well, to each their own of course, but Jackson's electronics and pickups (for that era) are pretty much universally regarded on the same level as ibanez stock pickups. Utter shit. Its not like I'm not a fan of Jacksons either. I'm a HUGE Jackson guy. But the only people that are actively seeking the je units are guys that want their guitars to be period correct/original (nothing wrong with that mind you!) or Roope fanboys (of which there are a lot out there, especially on sites like JGP).

In any event I have a couple of these units sitting around in parts drawers. Might take me a while to check where I put all them though. Did a bit of rummaging and found a JE-1200 (I believe, will have to double check schematics here http://audiozone.dk/guitargallery/?...Jackson_Electronics/JackElec1988Page08_09.jpg) that I pulled out of my '89 Soloist. Whoever wants this can have it for cost of shipping. $3.50 in the CON US. Shame both of you are overseas, but if you really want it I am certainly willing. Dunno if it's worth it to you though. I don't remember if it works (this is a concern with JE units, not all of them stand up to age too well), cause I had it in my 89 for all of 30 minutes before I ripped out the stock electronics and put in a nicer set of pickups! :D I think it does, but I'm not willing to check. (Wiring up is a bitch, and I'm not sure how to do it with a multimeter for these units. Not to mention I don't have a multimeter on hand at the moment.) You would need to replace the battery connector, as one of the terminals is gone, came off when i took out the wiring. But if anybody wants it I can throw in one of the new EMG connectors for you to splice on. Not terribly fun to wire this thing up, you'll need other pots (look for the schematics on audiozone), but this is the important "board" part that isn't made anymore.

Both of you are looking for the Je-1000? That's the most uncommon unfortunately. You are sure your Rhoads came "stock" with these? It wasn't in a terribly large amount of guitars. The other two JE units are far more common.

I'm actually not sure which one it was, sold it some time go...really didn't love the stock pickups that much ;)

I'd definitely like to buy yours, if you don't wanna ship overseas I could give you an address in the USA...would be cool if you could ship directly to Germany of course.

I'd of course pay for the shipping and any possible extra fees

Jeez aren't you a fucking champion :p
Yeah.. I mostly want one for nostalgia value etc. IF you happen to find that second one etc, PLEASE PM me dude. I'll happily pay shipping and your time. It would be massively appreciated :)

Not a Roope fan etc, just a Jackson fanboi! I tried to con my Jackson Endorsement guys to hunt me one down, they laughed and said I had a better chance on Ebay, as expected! But of course, even if they suck, this stuff is still sort after by some people. As Lasse and myself have proven :p

Those look good Arvoitus!

Forgot about this thread, still looking if I can find the other shit I have.
