Growing up, Christmas was always a huge deal in my house but since I have gotten older, I just don't feel like I have the time to be jolly and happy. I'm too busy working or doing one of another 100 things. I want to change that, though, because I want my daughter to have the same warm, fuzzy feelings about the holidays that I do from my childhood. I put up the tree and decorated the house today and last week I watched my favorite movie and its kind of put me in the mood. Maybe after I start Christmas shopping (no, I haven't started yet) I'll be in a better place.

I hate cell phones. Hubby made a bumper sticker that says "get off the phone and drive."
