X men 3

Hahahaha. Yeah, I couldn't stop laughing the rest of the movie. That's one of the main reasons that I enjoyed it so much. ^_^

I wish someone hadn't told me that shit was in there, so I could have been surprised - regardless it was still fucking funny as hell, but too bad I was like one of two people laughing.

Damn nova gayfers D:

Hahahaha. Yeah, my friend is very kind, and he wanted me to be surprised, so he didn't say a word. I just convulsed in laughter. I'm sure people hated me.

apparently i was the only one in the theater who has seen the Juggernaut video on youtube, as i was laughing hysterically by myself. also, what the hell was up with his helmet?

it also bugged me a little when people kept asking who the woman was is the clip after the credits, but i doubt half of the people there have ever even picked up a comic.

yes, i thought that mutant in the forest was Marrow, but wasnt sure because there was no name in the credits......and how could i miss Omega Red???

there was also some big issues with people's accents in the movie, but whatever.

overall, i thought it was a great movie, especially because it was mostly Cyclopsless. I thought Kelsey Grammer did a great job. I never would of thought of him as an action hero type. The ending before the credits was great, and the extra one made a nice opening for another movie.

I haven't been much impressed by comic book movies, and I expect this one to be no different. To be fair, I've never been much of a comic book reader though. I presently only own 1602, the complete The Sandman, and a short series called Midnight Nation.

The Crow, Hellboy, Sin City, Spiderman, and V for Vendetta are the only comic movies I can think of that I have liked. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say I don't really like superhero movies (or, apparently, superhero comics).

I haven't seen Lucky Number Slevin yet, but I did see a fabulous little film called Brick that gets my vote for best of the year so far.

Darkman is a good superhero movie, though it's completely original and not based on a comic book series. May I recommend to you, though, Watchmen to read? It's quite possibly the most well thought out graphic novel. Really achieves perfection in the style. You may be interested, you may not, but it is definitely a graphic novel that one could consider literature. So is The Sandman series, though. ^_^

Hahaha. Agreed about Cyclops. Does ANYONE like the character of Cyclops? I mean, really, I've never met anyone that has.

Batman Begins

I thought it was O.K. but nothing fantastic. It was a far better treatment of Batman than any of the previous drek.

My major problem is that everytime I see Christian Bale I have visions of him whipping prostitutes with a wire coathanger. Also, Katie Holmes resembles a chipmunk.

EDIT: It occurs to me that whipping prositutes with a wire coathanger isn't really out of character for Batman. Frank Miller-era Batman anyway. I upgrade this film to "pretty good."

I've seen Darkman, Raimi fanboy that I am. It is a pretty good film, but I didn't think of it since it was not originally a comic book. It has some of that goofiness that also made Spiderman worthwhile to me. Plus: who doesn't love Bruce Campbell?

A lot of people have told me to read Watchmen, just never seem to get around to it. Kind of like how people tell me to listen to this or that band, but when time comes round to buy CD's, I always have other things in mind.

Everytime I see Christian Bale, I really EXPECT to see some gun-fu action, and when that doesn't happen, I'm ALWAYS disappointed. I loved Batman Begins, but no gun-fu? WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT SHIT?!
