XLN Audio Addictive Drums "Metal" ADpak

Yup .... you eating your words yet Jay .... LOL

Seriously those sound like dog dick. The cymbals are hella phasey, the toms are lifeless, the kick sounds like a beach ball and OMG flamming is horrible. Typical AD shit .... Then again they could have based this on St Anger then its usable other then the snare :p

FYI the audio demos on the site arent much better :(

The did some remixes using the pack and the cymbals sound total shit. I hate the fucking kick. Some of the toms seem usable and the snare is mediocre at best.

Like I said in the other thread about this, company demos never sound as good as what you can actually do with the product.

does not that just sound like the original AD, tweaked a bit??

Thank's for pointing that out. I think my dropbox is pointing to a different file than I intended with a different AD kit. My apologies.

So far, I'm not liking the new AD Metal pack in my mixes, but I'm working on tweaking it to make it work, but I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm really not a fan of the snare at all. I had high hopes for the kick, but so far I'm getting let down. I really do like the grooves though. Too bad.

Usually these multi-sampled drums actually sound MUCH better when played through an e-kit, those videos' drums don't sound too good, I hate to hear them when it's just a straight programmed midi file.

I'll wait until some user demo's though until judging.

I just got this, and I like it a lot. It fits my style pretty well. I really like both the kick and snare. The cymbals are great, too.
I can't say I won't blend with other samples in the future, but so far I'm just messing around with it and I like it. It fits better into the mixes I have going on than the original AD kits I'd tweaked to sound metal.
