The standard Dreamlord response, ironic considering he's never been anywhere near NYC or any other northern city for that matter. ;)
eh, wrong answer. I've been to NYC. It was quite the crap. No offense.

I'm sorry, I can't take you seriously.

EDIT: to say, you probably were in NYC for all of 2 hours, and came with the same preconceived notions you have about a lot of music. You told yourself you weren't going to like before you got there, and you couldn't let yourself down, now could you?

What were you doing here anyway?

You guys are all city slickers to me. I grew up in the country, on a farm, and the closest town had about 80 people. A town with 1 street light was big to me. A town with a Wal-Mart was considered a city. In fact, I still have trouble dealing with traffic, I hate crowds of more than 10 people, and a house without at least a 5 acre lot isn't worth shit to me.

Why the heck would anyone want 5 acres of land? What, are you a closet flower gardener or something? Or do you own cattle? If I had 5 acres, it would turn into a jungle within a year! The way I see it, I'd just be paying for more illegals to come hack it down every month. Empty land is such a waste, unless it's like in Africa or something. :tickled:

I was there for three days. It was quite a while ago, so it's not like I could have gone to clubs or bars or anything. I think I was about 16 or 17. I went in December, so seeing snow was a plus.

My parents won a trip for 4 to NY at my mother's office party. We got two suites at The Plaza, a limo, and 4 Broadway tickets. It was cool seeing a bunch of the sites that are always on TV.

I've always been a suburb kind of guy, so cities never impress me. I like the quiet, non-crowd places, kinda like npearce. And yes, I'd love to own 5 acres.

It should be noted that the only city I really liked that I've visited in New Orleans. What a great, fun city, especially if you stick to the French Quarter.

Ok, well you can't possibly say NYC did nothing for you after spending 3 days there 10 years ago. :Smug:

I'd like to go to NY City someday, but I could never live there. Maybe someday I will go visit JayKeeley and Markypooh . . .
Yeah man, you should come visit! To be honest though, we don't live in the city. Mark is about 15-20 minutes away, and I'm about 40 minutes away. I love NYC, but I couldn't live there now and I've always slightly regretted not giving it a try, but c'est la vie. I grew up in London so I've had my fair share of city life.

If you're young, single, rich, and outgoing, NYC is a great place.

I'm barely 10 minutes away! ;)

Although I'm always dreaming of living in a log cabin in the mountains or on a 12 acre ranch in Montana, I do really like big cities. Not sure I could live in one, but I certainly enjoy my monthly excursion to Los Angeles.
