Hello Everyone!

Well, what can I say? First of all, a big thank you to Danny and Jamie for offering us such an opportunity, which basically before the I was to describe as "some chums of Anathema playing some songs in some cafe somewhere in Holland". But this fantasic accoustic set was simply an adventure of itself, and they played everything mind blowing that night, and some extra-curricular cover-versions, you´d never believe, if you hadn´t seen it...

Well here are the covers: (in no special part. order)

Enjoy the silence (!!!) - Depeche Mode
Wasted Years - Iron Maiden
Hope - Pink Floyd, Anathema ( was brilliant)
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Come as you are - Nirvana
A song called "Fade Out" or so, I didn´t know it,sorry
Infinite Dreams - Iron Maiden (definitely great)
and a song called "Still Running" with a third chum on guitar and vocals in duet.

The Maiden Songs were played on piano and sounded really great. Anyway they played a lot of their own songs, and the whole set was mixed up very well and made the whole evening to an interesting showdown, you don´t see every night. The songs I recall so far: (INPO)
Pressure
Release
Temporary Peace
A fine Day to Exit
Fragile Dreams
1 more of Alternative4
Angelica
Eternity (Pt.1)
Pitiless
Restless Oblivion
1 more of Silent Enigma
and two or three more of Judgement
2 songs from the upcoming album

So far I remember. I tried to learn some of the names last week, but it´s not yet complete...sorry, but I think it´s clear, if you weren´t there, you´d missed something in a very special atmosphere, even when 50 people or some more weren´t quiet all the time. But Great though.

Thank you, it was worth the trip!

Best Wishes, Beyond

Maiden songs?!?!?!?!?!?!

Not that I have a problem with that, I'm just very much surprised...

Thanks to Danny and Jamie and all the good friends we met for 2
fantastic evenings ! In fact it was an 'Anathema' weekend again.
I agree with the review of Beyond, in a relax atmosphere we
could enjoy a mix of Anathema songs and covers, a shivering
back to the roots performance. Danny singing and playing guitar
or piano and the backbone of Jamie's bass.

Going to more than one concert brings always nice surprises.
Friday I went to the Eindhoven gig in the café Altstadt and
there they played other covers : Nobody home (Pink Floyd),
Imagine (John Lennon), Hey Joe (Jimi Hendrix)

While Saturday in Apeldoorn they played new material and the
'Flowers' song from Antimatter

If you'll have a chance to see this : it's marvellous !:)

What's with all this Benelux love? Anathema in Belgium and Holland, Antimatter the same, now Danny and Jamie...

Anyways, true men should perform here, in the land of Gods!
