Good luck man. Reminds me that I have this unusual round cartilage feeling thing on my...left jaw bone. And when I touch it it wiggles. But it's been there for years upon years and hasn't bothered me so I won't worry about it. But I am going to have surgery too on Friday to have all of my wisdom teeth removed, all four. Wouldn't be a big deal it if wasn't for the top two, one of which is above my very back molar and they said if they're aren't careful it could go up into the sinus when they try to pull it. But hey, I'm not worried. Good luck on your surgery though, hope it's nothing bad.

Yes, I recall feeling that way after having my wisdom teeth pulled... Sounded like I was drunk when I spoke. They have to give me massive doses of anesthesia and painkillers on account of my size.
