No they haven't. They've experimented a lot on the album. The results are...disappointing, but hell, they finally found a way out of their routine songwriting format.

You sound like you think making good music is easy. It isn't. In Flames tried to go beyond their routines, and for that I salute them. If a band tries to do that and fails, you still have to give 'em a lot of credit for trying.
