Listening to the new one, "The Black is Never Far". Sounds as if you should be all over these mother fuckers... cool stoner vibe. Nice vocal, guitar and bass work. Buying this fucker for sure. I know they have a few CDs out. Assuming you have some experience with these guys, what's considered their best work?

If you haven't heard these guys yet, get on it.

This new one is the best.

I thought With Vision was a big step up from their first one, which I attributed to the addition of Wino.. so with this new one, sans Wino, I wasn't really expecting too much, thinking I'd like it , but say "yeah.. I miss Wino"

this is definitely NOT the case. AMAZING cd, the others can't compare, but they are still great albums

I'll gladly listen to any uploaded samples. :)

I've heard the name, but nothing more.

Well damn the new one is that good? I guess I'll have to check out these samples when I get home. Like chromie I was weary of checking this out at first.

Ive only heard half of ot so far until it is finally released officialy. Definitely their best and fucking tremedous so far. Those two that IoTS posted, ESPECIALLY My Darkest Hour are fucking GRANDE.

EDIT: Stoner?! WTF!!

I'll have to give these dudes another listen later I suppose but ummm... this is definitely NOT my thing. At all.

Most people jumped all over this album straight away...I'm still coming round to it. I listened to it again today and it sank a little deeper. It's not an instant album by any means, at least not for me.

It's an odd hybrid of Iommi meets some form of modern rock. I know this sounds weird, but there are even some moments on it (like the slowed down acoustic song parts) that sound a bit like Iced Earth!!! (e.g. "Watching Over Me" sorta stuff).

A couple of the songs grabbed me right away. They drew me back to the disc often enough for the others to grab me as well.

Well "With Vision" has a more dry sound, because of Wino's presence... the closest to the sound of "The Black Is Never Far" is "Love Through Blood" ep.. "Nailed" is pretty good...but seriously..."With Vision" is a riff heaven as well...
